Senior Technology Administrator

The Senior Technology Administrator oversees technology asset lifecycle management, procurement operations, vendor relationships, technology expense administration, and inventory governance while ensuring the efficient delivery of technology solutions across U.S. Engineering.


Principal Duties and Accountabilities:
  • Serves as the primary operational contact for technology vendors and service providers, coordinating procurement activities, issue resolution, service requests, and vendor communications in support of Technology leadership.
  • Works with USE Accounting department and vendors to create purchases for all IT hardware, software and services procurement.
  • Provides internal support and work with USE Accounting when questions and issues arise associated with IT vendor products or services.
  • Manages jobsite technology billing (ISPs, cellular, equipment, copiers/plotters, etc.) including working with USE Accounting on quarterly cost transfers and USE Operations teams on jobsite details and providing monthly/quarterly invoices.
  • Administers the company's cellular services program, including reporting, auditing, line management, cost analysis, and coordination with service providers to ensure effective utilization and cost control.
  • Manages all procurrent for USE technology team.
  • Develops and maintains reporting, documentation, and operational metrics related to procurement, asset management, telecommunications services, and technology expenses.
  • Provides recommendations to Technology leadership regarding process improvements, vendor performance, asset utilization, and opportunities for operational efficiencies.
  • Liaises with vendors for quotations and follow-up on outstanding purchases.
  • Purchases equipment and coordinates the shipping and receiving of supplies.
  • Confirms the delivery and quantity of purchases match the items and amounts ordered.
  • Unpacks and delivers/ships hardware supplies to the appropriate locations.
  • Maintains accurate inventory records in the inventory database software, Zoho, 
  • Collaborates with team to manage all company owned and leased copiers and plotters.
  • Responsible for a quarterly IT audit for all locations. Verifies with physical counts that inventory levels match stock-room supply; investigate and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Recycles retired IT hardware.
  • Organizes inventory in IT workroom, re-stocks items as necessary, and labels shelves.
  • Assists with developing and implementing process improvement solutions related to asset management, procurement and vendor processes.

Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalency required; Associates Degree preferred.

Experience:
  • Experience in a professional office or retail environment is a must.
  • Experience in the following areas preferred:  administrative office or technology field, working with technology vendors, purchasing, receiving, shipping, and inventory management.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships
  • Experience working with financial reporting, budgeting, or cost allocation
  • Experience developing business processes and documentation
  • Experience working in Accounting systems.

 Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
  • Demonstrates the ability to administer technology procurement, asset management, and vendor processes while supporting organizational technology standards and objectives.
  • Possesses knowledge of technology procurement, inventory management, telecommunications services, and technology asset lifecycle practices including deployment, maintenance, reassignment, and retirement.
  • Ability to analyze technology-related expenses, identify billing discrepancies, prepare reports, and provide recommendations that support budgeting, cost allocation, and operational decision-making.
  • Demonstrates the ability to evaluate existing administrative processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and assist with the development and implementation of operational efficiencies and standardized procedures.
  • Strong capability to foster collaborative relationships with stakeholders across Technology, Accounting, Operations, and external vendors while effectively coordinating activities and resolving issues.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and reporting tools, including data analysis, pivot tables, dashboards, and the preparation of operational and financial reports.
  • Demonstrates initiative, sound judgment, and the ability to independently manage technology administration programs, priorities, and day-to-day operational responsibilities.

Physical and/or travel demands:  
  • Frequent use of computer, including keyboarding, viewing monitor, etc.
  • Frequent lifting, bending, stooping, reaching while handling computer equipment.
  • Travel as required to USE locations, conferences and continuing education.
  • Occasional day trips between construction job sites, offices and manufacturing facilities.

Benefits and Compensation:
  • The range for this position has been established at $29 to $40 hourly and is U.S. Engineering’s good faith and reasonable estimate at the time of the posting. The compensation offered to the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.
  • Your total compensation will go beyond the number on your paycheck. Team members are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance as well as paid time off.
